Moving On is the third book of the College of Charleston series, it follows Chris and Bette. Chris is still hung up over Annie and Ryan so he decides to move out of the dorm. He finds himself bunking with Bette.

I really like Chris, he’s a great guy – he’s sweet, loyal, dedicated, hot, and he knows his way around construction (remodelling rooms and all). Who doesn’t like a guy who knows construction? He is definitely the kind of guy one would want to spend their life with.

Bette is amazing, she is definitely a character who stood out. I love her strength – after finding herself she doesn’t change back to the “normal” girl her mother wants. Despite still having the need to please her parents she doesn’t let it take over. Despite not letting anyone’s opinion of her change her, she longs to be accepted as who she is without any compromise.

Moving in with Bette not only helped Chris, it also helped Bette. Without realising, both helped each other with their demons. I love how they could talk to each other effortlessly, and just be themselves around each other. Their story is the definition of a slow burn – they went from roommates to friends, and then from friends to something more. The evolution of their relationship is definitely one of the best I’ve ever read. However, I would have liked to see them as a couple together, I felt like the book ended too quickly. Other than that, it was a great read and definitely one I wouldn’t mind rereading.

Kate L. Mary is a stay-at-home mother of four and an Air Force wife. She grew up in a small town just north of Dayton, Ohio where she and her husband met at the age of twelve. Since their marriage in 2002, they have lived in Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and California.

Kate enjoys any post-apocalyptic story – especially if zombies are involved – as long as there is a romantic twist to give the story hope. Kate prefers nerdy, non-traditional heroes who can make you laugh to hunky pieces of man-meat, and her love of wine and chocolate is legendary among her friends and family.
