Lia and Rafe have escaped Venda and the path before them is winding and dangerous – what will happen now? This third and final book in The Remnant Chronicles is not to be missed.

The Kiss of Deception is one of my favourite books of all time and The Remnant Chronicles is one of my favourite series. I loved the mystery aspect of The Kiss of Deception and fell in love with the characters. The Heart of Betrayal did not disappoint and has left me craving for more.

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult

Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

Six of Crows broke me. I don’t know how I was living before reading it. From the writing to the plot to the characters to the setting, everything was marvellous. I am in love with each and every one of them. Bardugo’s writing is like a drug – I need Crooked Kingdom. NOW. I need to know what happens to Inej and how the crew saves her. And, Nina too. My baby took the jurda parem to save everyone. I hope they’re able to save her. I have so many questions. I need answers. On the plus side, it’s releasing near my birthday. 😀 I know what I’m getting. 😉 I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

There is nothing in life that eighteen year old Zara craves more than her freedom. Stolen from her home in Cadrebia at the age of eight, Zara has spent more years than she cared to admit as a slave to the Tankadesh courts. Her days are filled with protecting the princess, while she spends nights entertaining the king and his officials with her mastery of weapons. Any spare moment in between, she plots escape.

Yet her hopes for freedom come to a crashing halt when a stranger arrives bearing the mark of her assigned lifemate, and he threatens war if she isn’t turned over into his care. But a lifemate is not part of the plan. Her dreams, of choosing her own path and being the master of her own will, weaken as her Moon seeks to claim his Sun.

Is it possible that this stranger, with gentle blue eyes and a ready smile, didn’t come to be her new master? That there could be more to his tale?

Zara soon finds that neither her captivity nor her parents’ deaths were mere random attacks. And by returning to Cadrebia, she may have put the future of the royal line—and her Moon—in jeopardy. While Zara breathes in her first taste of freedom, her enemies move in, seeking to rob Cadrebia of its blessed prophecy.

To keep what she holds dear, Zara must rise above the pain and uncertainty to claim the lifemate assigned to her, or more than her freedom will be stolen this time.

I found about this book last week and I have not been able to stop thinking about it (I know it sounds really cheesy but it’s true). I love the protagonist’s name, Zara, it’s a beautiful name (one I’ve been fond of for years). I also love the idea of soulmate mark, it’s one trope I’ve been meaning to read for a while now. A stolen Zara returning to her hometown and finding out some hard truths is enticing. I just really love the whole premise of the book.I cannot wait to get my hands on this.

Cursed with a horoscope that promises a marriage of Death and Destruction, sixteen-year-old Maya has only earned the scorn and fear of her father’s kingdom. Content to follow more scholarly pursuits, her world is upheaved when her father, the Raja, arranges a wedding of political convenience to quell outside rebellions. But when her wedding takes a fatal turn, Maya becomes the queen of Akaran and wife of Amar. Yet neither roles are what she expected. As Akaran’s queen, she finds her voice and power. As Amar’s wife, she finds friendship and warmth.

But Akaran has its own secrets – thousands of locked doors, gardens of glass, and a tree that bears memories instead of fruit. Beneath Akaran’s magic, Maya begins to suspect her life is in danger. When she ignores Amar’s plea for patience, her discoveries put more than new love at risk – it threatens the balance of all realms, human and Otherworldly.

Now, Maya must confront a secret that spans reincarnated lives and fight her way through the dangerous underbelly of the Otherworld if she wants to protect the people she loves.

I found out about this a few weeks ago and I cannot stop thinking about it. How awesome does the synopsis sound? I need this now.

Vincent Moretti is one of the NYPD’s top homicide detectives-and one of the most eligible bachelors in town. His family, however, thinks he should date his longtime partner, Jill-a sassy, sexy, smart-mouthed blonde who drives him absolutely crazy.

Behind the quiet authority, tough-guy demeanor, and dark aviator glasses lies a man with a big soul-and a hard body that can soften any girl’s heart. After years as his coworker, Jill Henley has given up hope that anything could happen between her and Vin. Besides, loving him would break all the rules. But seeing Jill with someone else triggers feelings in Vincent he never knew he had. Now he’ll have to stop playing good cop/bad cop-and find a way to convince her to be his partner for life. . .

I’m sure most of you already know that I am a huge Lauren Layne buff. Anything by LL is a must for me, and Cuff Me is no different. When I read the first NY’s Finest I wasn’t sure I would become invested in it, but now I am invested in all 5 Moretti siblings (I hope we get books for the other two). What makes me even more excited for this one is that is has the whole she’s been in front of me this whole time but I’m too emotionally stunted to realise trope. It’s one of my absolute favourites, and I cannot wait to see how LL handled it. Just one more week.
